ABOUT THE CHAIRMAN OF AGRICULTURESri Venkateswara Engineering,Established by B. Dhanakumar on April 12, 1992, our Chennai-based company has become a leader in manufacturing and servicing equipment for sectors like wastewater treatment, distillation, nuclear power, oil and gas, and chemical plants. We pride ourselves on delivering quality products with on-time service, maintaining a flawless record of zero rejections and zero fatal incidents.
From a small 100 sq ft workspace, we have expanded to two facilities, each 25,000 sq ft. Our CSR efforts include annual medical and eye camps in Echankaranai and Chengalpattu villages, serving 500 people each year. Looking ahead, we aim to achieve Private Limited status and forge international partnerships to support our expansion
BACKGROUND
Agriculture is a key sector of the Indian economy, the output of which can significantly impact the socio-economic condition of the population. With the use of traditional practices and dependent on nature for irrigation being widely common, instances of output getting affected are common. Focus on mitigation or elimination as far as possible across all agricultural activities is necessary for having the desired outcome from the sector
THE OBJECTIVES AND GOALS OF THE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE
- “Farm to plate” concept in an all-weather seamless manner will be the primary objective of KNCCI in promoting agricultural initiatives.
- Centre of excellence with a focus on each stakeholder group starting with farmers from an engagement perspective and option to interact among all groups will be promoted to ensure best practices are learnt and implemented seamlessly
- Exchange of stakeholder groups between Japan and Tamil Nadu to learn first-hand best practices would be undertaken with a focus on real-time implementation
